With just 2 simple steps, you can complete the information update for your shop:

Step 1: Prepare "Documents" - The "Magic Spell" Calling For Necessary Information

Make sure you have the following "treasures":

  • Tax Identification Number (TIN):
    • Look it up on your business registration certificate (if available).
    • Search it on the General Department of Taxation’s website: tracuunnt.gdt.gov.vn.
  • Business Registration Certificate: (For businesses and business households from 2023).
  • Photo of ID card/citizen identification/passport: Choose 1 of the 3 types of documents.
  • Photo of yourself holding the ID document: Hold the document parallel to your face for camera recognition.

"Quick Tip" To Retrieve Tax Identification Number "In No Time":

  1. Access the General Department of Taxation’s website.
  2. Select the appropriate information field:
    • Taxpayer: For business households, companies. Enter the ID card/citizen identification of the business owner.
    • Personal Income Taxpayer: For individual business households.
  3. Enter the details, the verification code and click "Lookup".

Step 2: Update Information On The Shopee App - "Transform" Your Shop To Gain More Credibility

You can do this on your phone or computer. Here are detailed instructions on the phone:

  1. Open the Shopee app.
  2. Go to "Notifications" -> "Seller Update".
  3. Find the notification "Seller information not updated".
  4. Click "Start Registration".
  5. Fill in the information in 4 fields (note the fields with asterisks are mandatory):
    • Shop Information: Shop name, pickup address, email, phone number (Shopee automatically updates if already available).
    • Shipping Settings: Select the shipping provider (if not yet set).
    • Tax Information: Business type, company name, business registration address, email, tax identification number, photo of business registration certificate.
    • Identification Information: Document type, document number, full name, photo of the document, photo of yourself holding the document.
  6. Click "Complete".

Congratulations, your information has been successfully updated!
